What is so special about the iPad 2?
HD recording, Dual-cameras, dual-core processors we have been there and done that.
I think I speak for all of us when I say, how awesome would it be for us to have it accept HDMI capability, 1080 i or p on-device playback, Also, where’s flash, 4G, or expandable storage.
So it’s less expensive and thinner. That’s it?!

Usability Matters iPad 2 Launch Video
The hardware is awesome and the capabilities of the UI are really sophisticated. Traditional mass use of icons, buttons are being thrown to the wayside. iPads have the ability for multi-directional swiping and multi-touch inputs, designers and developers are experimenting with doing away with traditional buttons, icons, drop-down menus and other UI elements to achieve the same functionality as a traditional interface.
Since the iPad has so many options, I think it is wise that we create better standards instead of haphazardly allowing designers and developers to create UI and UX without consistency. I believe the end user will be the one who suffers.
User experience experts and usability guru’s must have a meeting of the minds to resolve the poor usability of the iPad.
