I am often asked, …”what is UCD (User Centered Design) and what are the principles?”. Below is a basic over view from w3.org and a slideshow on UCD that I often use with clients in the preliminary stages of a project. I have found that it helps users understand the principles and concepts and the importance of implementing this early on.
1. Early focus on users and tasks
* Structured and systematic information gathering (consistent across the board)
* Designers trained by experts before conducting data collection sessions
2. Empirical Measurement and testing of product usage
* Focus on ease of learning and ease of use
* Testing of prototypes with actual users
3. Iterative Design
* Product designed, modified and tested repeatedly.
* Allow for the complete overhaul and rethinking of design by early testing of conceptual models and design ideas.
Below is a slideshow presentation, please feel free to use it for your own needs as I believe it is a very helpful tool!
Its like you read my mind! You show up to uncover out so a lot about this, like you authored the e book in it or something. I think that you just could do with some pics to generate the message residence only a tiny bit, but other than that, that is awesome blog.
